Dr. Lingtao Jin is an Associate Professor with tenure in the Department of Molecular Medicine at UT Health San Antonio, where his research focuses on cancer metabolism, kinase signaling, and therapy resistance. He earned his PhD from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and completed postdoctoral training at Emory University before holding faculty positions at the University of Florida and UT Health San Antonio.
Dr. Jin’s laboratory investi
gates how metabolic enzymes and onco‑metabolites regulate tumor progression, immune suppression, and resistance to chemotherapy and immunotherapy, particularly in small-cell lung cancer and other aggressive malignancies. His work integrates metabolomics, molecular signaling, and tumor–immune interactions to identify new molecular targets and combination therapies.
He has received significant federal and foundation funding, including NIH/NCI, Department of Defense, American Lung Association, and Lung Cancer Research Foundation/AstraZeneca awards as Principal Investigator. Dr. Jin is a highly published investigator, with influential papers in journals such as Cancer Cell, Molecular Cell, Cell Reports, and Nature Communications, and is widely cited for his contributions to the field of cancer metabolism
