Hyundai Hope on Wheels Awards $250,000 Research Grant to Ut Health Science Center San Antonio in Honor of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

San Antonio, TX – September 12 – Hyundai Hope On Wheels® (HHOW) and San Antonio-area Hyundai dealers will present UT Health Science Center San Antonio with a $250,000 Scholar Grant to be used to improve care and increase treatment options for kids with cancer. UT Health Science Center San Antonio was one of 24 recipients across the country selected by a rigorous scientific review panel to receive this highly competitive Hyundai Scholar Grant.

The $250,000 Scholar Grant will be presented at UT Health Science Center San Antonio, 4502 Medical Dr, San Antonio, TX 78229 on Tuesday, September 13 at 12:00pm at a Handprint Ceremony during which the handprints of local San Antonio-area brave young cancer patients will be captured on a white 2016 Hyundai Tucson – the Hyundai Hope On Wheels hero vehicle – to commemorate their fight against the disease.
